Thank You Marty Kelly!

We were very lucky that Marty Kelly was able to read to one of our classes!  It was wonderful to see the children make a connection to the book that I read in the class, to a REAL author!  The children loved it! (and so did the teachers!)

Exploring Shapes
One of our students made this all on his own!  Very creative!
Welcome Spring!

We are all so excited that the weather is taking a turn for the warmer!  We are finally able to play in our playground!  No need for boots or snowpants! Yay!
Here is a look into our classroom.....

We read the book Little Blue and Little Yellow by Leo Lionni

We then explored mixing colors with playdough....

Next we explored mixing yellow and blue with paint....

Snowflakes are like children.
No two are alike!

Friendship Bracelets!

This was one of my favorite projects!  For Valentine's Day, we made our own Friendship Bracelets.  The reason they are called "Friendship" Bracelets, is that the children each had a cup of beads, but they were only provided one color.  If they wanted a different color they had to ask their "Friend" for a bead.  It was wonderful to watch them ask their friends politely for a bead and to see them all be excited to share their beads!  Loved it!
