I don't know about anyone else, but for me December was a whirl wind of activity, and was gone before I knew it!  Even though it is always so busy, it is my favorite month in the preschool!  So full of excitement and wonder!  Here is a glimpse of all that was happening in the classroom in the month of December..........

November is a crazy month!  Having so many holidays, our rhythm is a little off!  But even so, we have been busy!  Here is a peek at all we have been up to!

Exploring a Sunflower

We used our fine motor skills to pick and gather sunflower seeds in a  cup!

What Fun!

The Three Little Pigs

This is a story bracelet.  I love this idea!  Not only does it help us to remember the sequence of a story, but we practice our fine motor skills too!  This is how it works.  Each bead represents something in the story:

3 pink beads = the three pigs
yellow bead = house of straw
brown bead = house of sticks
red bead = house of bricks
black bead = the big bad wolf
blue bead = the pot of boiling water

You can practice this story at home with your children and help them remember the sequence of this wonderful fable/fairy tale!

We also enjoyed acting out the story!

And retelling it with our flannel board pieces....

We love The Three Little Pigs!!
